Rahul Gandhi has been attacking the government over its handling of the pandemic.

 Rahul Gandhi in his tweet today targeted the ruling BJP, saying the “Gujarat model” has emerged with the state registering the highest rate of coronovirus (COVID-19) deaths in the country, almost double the national average.  The Congress leader, who has targeted the government on almost daily terms to deal with the virus crisis, quoted Einstein yesterday as saying: “The only thing more dangerous than ignorance is arrogance”.

In the last one month, an average of 400 new coronovirus cases have been reported in Gujarat every day.
  According to the Union Health Ministry, there are 24,104 coronovirus cases in the state and the number of deaths has crossed 1,500.

Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has denied rumors of a strict lockout in cases of spirality.
  More than 75 percent of the cases in Gujarat are from its largest city, Ahmedabad.
The government’s opposition Congress is focusing on the high incidence of virus cases in Gujarat, with the state’s PM Modi ruling for 13 years before coming to power at the Center in 2014.  One of the BJP’s campaign campaigns at that time was the success of the “Gujarat model” of governance “and how it would be replicated at the Center. The opposition has since used it to make fun of the BJP.”
